It is with pleasure that I share this transfer of GNR Melbourne 1988 taken directly from the MASTER TAPE. I received this tape from the taper a few years back as well as Sydney 1st Gen cassette, Melbourne 15-12-88 2nd Gen video and Izzy Melbourne 1992 8mm video MASTER (Thanks MS).
A really nice show and the best quality you will find it in. That being said, I have not adjusted anything so could do with a remaster, sound boost and clean-up etc. but I wanted to present the original MASTER tape as I have it.
As with all my transfers, nothing has been altered or adjusted, pretty-well press play on the tape and hit record. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- GN'R's 1st ever show in Australia. Before 'Out Ta Get Me,' Axl goes off on people that say GN'R Lies isn't true Guns N' Roses. Steven plays a drum solo during 'Rocket Queen.' During 'Knockin' On Heaven's Door,' Axl says, "No bullshit, you guys are one of the most enthusiastic crowds I've seen in a long time!" After 'Welcome To The Jungle,' Axl mentions that they have a curfew and will be playing straight through the allotted time without any encores.
