Transferred & mastered by }{eywood The first show at the Buffalo arena with it's new name, Key Bank Center (5th name it's had since 1996. I wish they'd stop branding arenas. This should be like the old Memorial Auditorium. One name forever. The Buffalo Auditorium would suit us just fine). The name isn't official until the 19th, but the signs are there, so I named it accordingly. Also the debut recording with our brand new AT831s!
Binko and I went to this show together. I have a newfound respect for Axl Rose, who I previously say as a prima donna with no talent to back up his attitude, and a voice that sounds like a catfight inside a beehive, but with this band it works. Not too many singers around these days can scream that high for that long. 2 and a half hours the show lasted. I notice they don't really let Axl talk. They don't even put a spotlight on him between songs. Perhaps this is to prevent any rants. It's clear that he's on a short leash. Whenever he's not singing he stands off to the side by the Marshalls. This changed the whole dynamic of the band, changing it to the Angus Young Experience, but I guess that's what happens when you lost 3/5 of the band on one tour.
There was a battery change during the encore break. Rebooting the recorder takes about 30 seconds, so the long chord that Angus played while they returned to the stage is cut here.
