Crazy but very fun night in Chicago! On the way into town, it was raining like hell! The radio was reporting that tornadoes had been spotted in central Illinois and that Chicago was under a Tornado Watch until midnight! Some flooding had been reported in neighborhood streets in Chicago and traffic snarls were everywhere! Fortunately, I chose well and the roads I took to get to the arena were trouble free. The rain had let up as I walked out of the parking garage which I thought was a good sign. The weather reports were saying the big storm would pass but more were on the way behind it so with my fingers crossed I headed into the arena. My seat was on the floor, 16 or so rows back, directly in the middle so I was right in line with Vinnie. The crowd near me wasn't too noisy which always makes for better taping. (except for the obnoxious old fart hippie couple next to me who got totally wasted and made idiots of themselves..the guy ended up falling into a bunch of chairs and his dipstick wife stood on a chair and started whipping a beer can around in a circle, spraying everyone near her with beer!)
In my opinion, the recording came out excellent, great sound system, good location, great separation of instruments,but with the weather like it was and being so close to the lake, there was a pretty strong crosswind blowing throughout the show. I did my best to block it with my body but you can hear it plainly on the recording. Some may think it adds to the ambience, I find it irritating somewhat. Oh well, I guess that's just the purist in me. Next time I'll bring the windscreen! The wind was blowing right into the band's faces and I could see Geezer found it bothersome. I guess that's what you get when you play outdoors in "The Windy City"! You could also see Tony favoring his fingering hand somewhat as between songs he would wring it out and massage it. He still played excellent and kicked out a great solo on "Heaven And Hell".
The only negative about this recording for me is that there's no more "sabbathlive.com" for it to be included in with other shows from this tour and the rest of the underground recorded legacy of Black Sabbath.
Trade freely, don't sell or reduce to MP3, and I would appreciate it if you would let ME upload it on other torrent sights first, as it is my show. (You won't see it on TTD...they booted my recording of last year's show as "lossy" even though it was MY frickin' master!)

I had to do some minor adjusting to some of the parts where the wind was blowing. I had to decrease the volume level on some of those windy parts so I could bring the rest up. I didn't do any EQ'ing, just did some adjusting with the volume levels to help even it out.
