Perhaps not the best recording to surface from this well documented tour. I was in the back of the arena at the box level. They closed the upper level due to insufficient ticket sales. Still, to the band's credit, they did have over 6,000 fans show up to a venue an hour away from downtown L.A. The arena is less than 10 minutes from my house so the goldstar offer made this kind of a no-brainer. There is still a fair amount of "boom-in-the-room" to the recording. I did have a pretty good line on the left stack but it couldn't be avoided. The recording is a bit "noisy" at the higher frequencies due to my mic sensitivity being inadvertently set to "high" on my m-10. I used the de-clip feature on Rx to recover some of the peaks, but there is still some mild distortion on Rob's higher notes. It's probably most notable on Guns. Sorry. On a positive note, there isn't a lot of crowd noise on this one. All of those seated in my vicinity were actually there to listen to the show. All in all a great show and a decent recording.
