This was the first show of the 2019 European WorldWired Stadium Tour. The day was extremely windy, however the wind died down during Metallica's set. The wind can be heard during Master of Puppets and Lords of Summer. But other than that, the sound was pretty clear. During the Snake Pit performance crowd got really rowdy around me so I moved. No other recording notes to report.
It was really cool to see the setlist change in comparison to the North American run. James' Guitar tech injured himself and that led to a break in the set. James did a bunch of random jamming during this part which made this show unique for sure.
I recorded Metallica in Madrid as well, but the venue was in an open field, open air venue and the wind wasn't cooperating either. Maybe one day I will pack wind screens again!
