this was a pretty weird gig, for me. burnt out after 3 "carbon copy" setlists, I decided to 'play with my mics' a bit for this one. kept the same taping spot (fairly riddled with crowd noise) thru the end of "Disposable Heroes", then decided to go wander. and wander I did, all the way to the rear of the 'venue' (read: field). if I remember right, I laid down during "Fade To Black" and possibly the next song and just stared at the stars. (as there was finally 'elbow room' instead of 'sardine city')
figured this would be a good 'test' for my new mics, to see what they sounded like in different positions.
sadly, I've not listened to this show all the way thru since, pretty much making my experiment null and void. oh yeah, there's a 'tinkle break' around the 2 hour mark (+/- 10 minutes), pretty sure I was in there less than 90 seconds...
did my best to mitigate the clapping/screaming, and I think it came out pretty good. this particular recording has been uncirculated.....until now.
he's an undisposable hero, his name is bubba420. and he uploads my garbage. hopefully, you find it appealing. I'd be lying if I said the well was dry. so get yer mugs ready!!!
