Recorded around 50 yards back from the stage directly in front of left repeater stack. I also recorded this with the Roland R05/CA11 Cardioids but the sound on this recording is much fuller than that one- though that one is pretty good too! Also, it looks like my mic lead worked loose st the last encore break and so there was a fair bit of diginoise on that last song but this version is clean throughout. As ever with these outdoor festivals, you can't avoid the talkers buut they are only really there during the quiet bits- and you don't get too many of them with Priest!!
SHOW NOTES - 1st day headliner. A really good show with decent FOH sound -something that had not been the case for the rest of the day- PA seemed seriously underpowered until The Priest hit the stage. I had decided that I would record from further back than normal and pick up the sound from the repeater stacks - the sound form them had been consistantly better than the main PA.
