This was the 4th time MetallicA for me and yes, there are still no regrets- good or bad sign? Anyways, Rock im Park was a great festival with the grand finale: METALLICA! We packed our tents and stuff the last day at approx midday, while we were watching those big clouds in the sky getting darker and darker. We hurried up with packing and the rain got us in the middle of the way to our car! I at that time had a t-shirt, a short and an approx 20kg backpack, a tent in one hand and a camping chair in the other hand = I was all fucked after the long distance run to our car! Luckily enough I had some fresh clothes which I put on in the car! So we chilled out for a bit in the warm and safe car! After that we walked to the main stage and got to hear some of Alter Bridge! After that we pretty mich stayed all the time there! I decided to bring my raigncoat with me, which was a good idea, because it was raining again for a few times. Sun-Rain-Sun-Rain and the result was a triple rainbow in a row! I have a picture of that rainbow, but you can barely see the third one! However, it was funny to see that Metallica's stage was already set up all day and all bands played in front of the huge Metallica set up! The Offspring were right before the four horsemen and then after that the 'tallica roadies took the stage for about 45min when suddenly the AC/DC tape was played and that could be followed by only one song: The ecstasy of gold! I was standing pretty all the time right to the right side of the FOH tower, which means I was pretty far away from the stage! Anyways Ecstasy ended and Lars did his silly little ritual he does at all the shows- yes he still throws his plastic cup into the audience before starting to count in Creep! The show was solid and the band was in a very good mood! Had to hide my mics in the beginning of Ride, because of security, excuse that little mistake on the recording!
