My first memory is I went with my friend Steve and we both actually had dates... Not only dates, but girls we went to college with at the time and they were both really good looking! This was the first time any of us had ever seen Aerosmith and it was a blast. White Lion opened and from what I can remember they were good and I wish I had taped them. The Municipal Auditorium is a large round building in the middle of downtown Nashville, and in the days of yore many great bands played there. The Municipal Auditorium never really sounded that good as far as concerts go, but the fun factor was hard to beat. But back to Aerosmith. This was April Fools Day and Tyler's little April Fool's joke at the beginning of the show was pretty great. It was just an all-around fun show and a great memory even 30+ years later. This was only the second concert I had taped, and it was with a department store type cassette recorder with a built in microphone. I got a decent Sony recorder not long after this, and I wish I had bought it sooner, but it is what it is. If anyone enjoys this show, it's all worthwhile!
