Lineage. 1st generation MicroWord MC 60 cassette (I used two cassettes). Recorded on an Olympus Pearlcorder J300 at 1.2 speed. The cassette recorder will not record at 1.0 speed. > Wav using Roxio Sound Editor. Recorder only records on left channel so I duplicated it on the right side as well. I cleaned up the audio hiss using denoiser -2db. I don't know what that means but it got rid of the hiss> TLH FLAC Level 6.
I wasn't going to post this but I've received a dozen requests to put it up so here it goes. If you want the feel of actually being there in the floor of the concert in the thick of it all then you can download this. If you are looking for a high production boot then skip it.
The cassette sound goes in and out, there are people talking bla, bla, bla. Someone told me it feels like a 1975 boot with the raw sound of a tape recorder and to post it anyway so here you go. No negative comments please this is my first upload. I don't know about fingerprints and stuff but I will try to copy what I see in the other torrents It's taken me over a week to figure this out. I'm fricking scared, it's my first upload and I don't event want to put up here. If I did it wrong and it gets banned I'll just send the raw WAV files or the cassettes to someone else to work out.
Houston was packed to the gills and the crowd was very animated and wild. The traffic was horrible so I got to the venue late and missed two songs. I turned on the recorder as soon as passed security so Under The Sun is incomplete and sounds terrible. The sound gets better with Snowblind as the recording progresses. I didn't delete anything between the songs. You can hear Ozzy complaining about the heat before Snowblind and Behind the Wall of Sleep. It was 95F with 70% Humidity on an open venue.
