Recorded by me on the final day of the Download Festival.
I positioned underneath one of the speaker stacks that was alongside the sound and lighting tower in the venue.
After a couple of years where the weather at Download was awful this year was much better, there was a little bit of wind and rain which resulted in some slight phasing on the odd occasion, but I think this turned out decent considering I'm taping in a field in the open air.
This was my first time seeing Aerosmith and I really enjoyed them, (although I thought Legendary Child might be the one new song they played). I was really impressed with Steven Tylers performance and vocals, what a front man.
The sound seemed sightly muddy for the first few songs in comparison to the rest of the set. Having said that, not only was the sound better than the other bands on the bill, they also had more use of the video screens and they used their own camera men instead of the usual venue cameras. They also announced during the show that they were filming it for a DVD.
The band were due to leave the stage after Sweet Emotion, but they decided to stay on and played Mama Kin.
