---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is the entire evening of Down/Megadeth/Heaven & Hell in Toronto on March 22, 2007. Two sources were used to cover the whole thing. I recorded Down but burnboy didn't, bb recorded the complete Megadeth set, I was only able to record the first 15 minutes. We both captured the H&H set (albeit my source has a cut in After All). I thought the 2 sources complimented each other, hence the idea of creating a matrix. Burnboy's version really captures the mids (guitar and vocals), while my recording has a huge bass sound (the bass drum in particular packs a punch) and the cymbals really cut through.
Initially I created an even mix matrix which turned out fine but then I got the idea to play with the levels a bit, perhaps to enhance a stereo image without using any pre-set effects. So I tried a couple of different mixes and decided on using a 66%-34% ratio with 66% taurus and 34% bb source in the left channel and vice versa for the right. So you get more Tony on the right and more Geezer on the left. All in all, I'm pleased with the results and hope you like it too.
