This came to me (in terms of raw files) via a Very Much Appreciated trade, & as far as I'm aware is not widely circulated at all. This was also originally dated as Tokyo 1982-06-26, however that turned out not to be the case...As it seemed to be fairly rare (I couldn't find any info on this tape at all), I passed the files to Hothcanada who passed it to BONG for authoring (& Many Thanks to you both for that)...

The footage itself is a single audience cam, & begins on what appears to be the 2nd row, between Lem & Robbo - however, the audience are a particularly lively one, resulting in only 'Iron Fist' being shot from this position before the taper decides to head to the balcony centre to continue filming. The rest of the footage from this point is really good - it's handheld so there is some shake, it does appear to be a low to mid-gen (screens below) & also has a timecode (top right corner), but this is virtually priceless footage as far as I'm concerned, as it has a good clear view of the stage from the balcony, runs for around 35 minutes & offers a much clearer picture than the only other known bootleg video of Another Perfect Lineup from Cardiff '83. The audio is very listenable, & I've managed to confirm the date from the intro to 'Jailbait', which doesn't match the tapes from Tokyo 26/06, Osaka 28/06 or Tokyo 30/06 - as a tape from Nagoya (1st July) has never surfaced to my knowledge & Lem namechecks Tokyo during the show, that ties it to the 29th...there is an audience tape of the 29th, but I don't have it to nail it - anyone?

The show is a good one with the band & audience feeding off each other, both clearly enjoying themselves. The audience take to Robbo (who is using a Firebird for a change before switching to a Les Paul), which means a tightly played set without interruptions, the only shame being that the setlist is missing four songs between 'Iron Fist' & 'Go To Hell', as well as the encores. There's also a cut after 'America', indicating that '...The Road Crew' is also missing. Whether they were filmed or not I have no idea, hopefully they were & will turn up at some point, but it's good enough just to have this...& Remember - They were Motorhead, & They played Rock & fucking Roll - Don't forget 'em...
