Got a working cassette deck at a garage sale and decided to transfer and share a show form the old cassette days to celebrate. Kept coming back to this show that I had transferred but not shared, because I knew my transfer left a bit to be desired. I transferred it in my “make it louder” days. And boy was it loud.........and shrill.......and harsh.......and a mess. So I think I fixed that. I remember reading a comment by Steve Hoffman, where he said something along the lines of master to the strength of the band. So I mastered this, I think, to reveal the power and thunder of ACDC. At least as much as was captured by an old Sony T Mic, a normal bias tape, and a Sony recording Walkman 2 doing all it can to capture the volume of a band while automatically setting the levels. I had really good seats for this show, and I had the T mic on an extension cord, so it was elevated above waist level. Sometimes things work out. There is nary a note missing from tape flip/changes. This is a pretty decent recording. Yes it is harsh and a bit over-saturated in places, but the hardware was working as hard as it could, and I doubt much better could have been done with the material at hand. Tracks done on the fly. Enjoy.
