The source tape has strong autogain artifacts all over it, so I have put in 100+ (200+?) hours of my spare time over the last six months to reverse this. The raw transfer was almost unlistenable. Every effort has been made to keep the thousands of fixes as seamless as possible and I am quite satisfied with the results. You might notice the hiss levels rise from time to time as a side-effect, or perhaps (hopefully) you will not notice anything. No eq or other effects were used.

This has vastly improved sound quality compared to what commonly circulates, and the performance is considered one of the very best from this tour. The Stanko source (this one) appears to be uncirculated until now.

There is some uncertainty about the date. The cassettes are marked "Black Sabbath 5/26/82" and "MSG 5-26-82". Tom insists this is correct but after much digging and asking around I have not been able to confirm it, so I decided to use 1982-05-17 to avoid confusion. Included is a scan of the a-sides of the masters (there is no writing on the b-sides).

Thanks to Stanko, Unklejimbo and 1zeppelin2 for making this happen, and also for their patience. Thanks to TheGoat and Rob at sabbathlive.com for helping with research.
