What an amazing night. What an amazing night with MAIDEN! Hearing the words of "Scream For Me Istanbul" was the best thing ever happened to me. I cannot explain it with words... You should know the feeling that which whould have happened to you, when you were at your first Iron Maiden concert ever! Especially, if you were waiting to see them since 1999. The stage was very good, especially the two Eddie's. Otherwise, after The Evil That Men Do, I think something happened to Bruce, because he started to talk very few. An example, he just screamed as "Scream for me Turkey. The Iron Maiden." That's all! There was no emotion at all! But it didn't matter, because the show was just awesome. And I also want to thank to my friend Bat that he came all the way to Turkey just to see Maiden here with me, cheers mate! The setlist was good, it would be better if there were songs from the AMOLAD album too. The second rant did make me cry, so I want to write it to you, if you do not want to waste your time by listening to it.
"Well hello everybody! I just said everybody, everybody who is in here, we sold out tonight completely, we couldn't get any more people in... "Next time" we come here, we gotta have to fucking play somewhere twice as big, alright? I think there is a few people outside can't get in, and they are listening for free. Hellooooooo! It's cool. Listen, this next song is about all some fans and stuff and the time anyway. We've been around the world, we have been in pretty amazing places. What is incredible about Iron Maiden fans is that they come in every color, every race, in every religion, it doesn't matter. And you know, we played in Jakarta, Indonesian city, loads and loads of fuckin' Iron Maiden fans you know, we played in Dubai, lots of Maiden fans... We got Maiden fans in Lebanon, we got Maiden fans in Iran, we got Maiden fans in Iraq, we got Maiden fans... we got Maiden fans in Syria at the moment, they are having a fucking hard time right? So this song goes out to everybody, Black, brown, white, yellow, purple, with pink spots on, male, female, anybody in between, muslim, jedi, christian, jewish... BLOOD BROTHERS!"
Taping Notes :
My camera starts to finish its battery more easily every time I use it. I started taping from the middle part of the Satellite 15. Things went smooth till the Bruce's Rant #1, when my camera stopped recording. It does it every time, and I couldn't find a way to disable it. Anyways, after that, at the "woooo" part of The Wicker Man, the space of my micro SD is fulled, so I changed it, till Bruce starts to rant for the second time. The reason of Fear Of The Dark is 2 parts is because I was afraid that camera would stop taping again, so I stopped and re-started taping before the intro solo. And then, my batteries started to deplete, so it went off at the last minute of Running Free.
