La Defense is a fantastic huge arena. A stadium actually with 40000 audience capacity. I think the stage could be used a little better. There's lot of empty space on the left and on the right of the stage. It could be bigger and the light stuff could be put a little higher in order to let the second ring see a little better the videos and the graphic. just my point.
Anyway a fantastic concert, maiden were on fire, the new drummer did a good job, he tries to doble every single passage Nicko was used to do. He has not the touch of Nicko of course but the performance has been more enrgetic, with a faster click to many songs. Much more energy than the last years. A good job.
A little complain wth maiden...two pre-recorded introduction (Ides of march and the beginning of Murders in the rue mrogue) are a little too long...i mean...why don't play live the begining of Rue Morgue? they used to back in 1981 and 82...so, why? I was quite far, second ring on the right of the stage but acoustic was quite good. Anyway a good recording, Solid B.
