Hey Everybody! Just as this is just "Black Sabbath" with Ronnie James Dio on vocals this show is from what is known in Cincinnat as "Riverfront Coliseum" where 11 people died at a Who concert in December 1979....I would make a few off-color jokes about it but since I have met people who are still angry that they have lost friends at that gig I will not. Another great sounding show due to the size of the crowd (about 60% to 70% capacity by my estimates) which is good for the taper but bad for the band.....I can only hoipe it is because of the quickness that these dates was added on between the Canadian & Europe 2007 tour dates and the promise of a summer or fall return. I can only hope that it will also mean they hit the smaller markets (like Knoxville or Dayton and other 9,000 capacity venues) that many bands seem to miss nowdays with the "shed" circuit.
A big "Hello" to all my Ohio friends that I was able to chat to at the show.....this is the reason why I'm rushing on posting this show. I also saw 2 other tapers at the gig so by all means seek them out too if you are a Sabbath completist as they both was in different parts of the arena. It looks like this tour will be represented very well with many bootlegs of most of the shows being taped! THAT says volumes of how much this tour is being anticipated by the Black Sabbath fans who are tired & bored with the same old setlist that the Ozzy lineup brings....and it doesn't hurt that the set is almost 2 hours long too!
Listen to "Neon Knights" and you will see why I called it "Neon Tits!"
Enjoy!
