This was the second time I could see Motörhead live! They were pretty bad ass back in June '06 at the same festival, but this time I really was a bit disappointed! Maybe it's because in '06 they played before Metallica, thus the place now was not as packed as two years ago! In Flames who played before them had a much much bigger audience they literally stole the show! Lemmy had major problems with his on stage monitors in front of him, but they did not manage to play the first song without stopping! So they stopped Dr. Rock and continued it after a minute or so! Then during Stay clean Lemmy still had no monitor feedback, but they somehow managed to play the entire song without an interruption! Then during Be my baby Lemmy got angry with the roadie, who still could not fix the monitor! The Band went off stage and the roadie started pushing and pulling around the monitor and after 3-4 minutes they came on stage again! Lemmy did a soundcheck and remarked "Why wasn't it like this in the first place?" He excused for the technical difficulties and they rocked on again, but had to skip One night stand, because of this whole mumbo jumbo about the monitor, sadly enough! The mix was pretty unbalanced, Phil's guitar was all over the place, it was literally penetrating my ear, it was so bad at one point I even wanted to stop the recording and leave the stage. Anyways after that there were no difficulties at all and they played a solid encore with a kickass drum solo by Mikkey Dee. As I previously said, that the place was not packed at all therefore it was an easy game to get the setlist at the end of the show- that's where I got the info about the skipped song ;)
